How to Deal With Uncomfortable Blogging Things

When someone starts a blog, they just see one side of blogging.

When I first started my blog, I just wanted to share my knowledge with the world.

Once I stepped into the blogging world, things getting hard. I need to learn to upload images in my post.

As I wasn’t an expert to take and edit photos, I felt uncomfortable. (I’m still not comfortable).

Then I needed to learn about formatting posts to make it enjoyable to read, that made me uncomfortable.

I first started my blogging on blogger. Later I learned that if I want to run my blog as a business, I need to host my blog on the self-hosted WordPress blogging platform. I transferred my blog from blogger to self-hosted WordPress platform. And I needed to learn the things again and I became uncomfortable.

No blogger could become successful without being uncomfortable. Starting a blog itself is an uncomfortable thing.

Stepping outside of our comfort zone is uncomfortable. Starting something new is uncomfortable. Being uncomfortable is hard and scary. It involves fear. Fear for if we look stupid. Fear for if we make mistake. Fear for if we fail.

Dealing with uncomfortable things require you to get out of your comfort zone.

Why You Need to Deal With Uncomfortable Blogging Things

All the magic happens when we step out of our comfort zone – when we are able to deal with uncomfortable things.

All the success achieved by people needed to deal with a whole lot of uncomfortable things.

When we are willing to get out of our comfort zone to do hard works and to take the risk, we see big things happen. Outside of our comfort zone is where all the life-changing, eye-catching, amazing thing happens.

But once you settle down with what you have achieved, you’re blocking yourself to move forward. Once you settle down with what you have learned, you won’t be able to learn new things.

Blogging world is constantly changing. What would work five years ago, isn’t working nowadays. What is working today, will not work after five years.

If we don’t grow with the constantly changing online world, we’ll get left behind.

But when we make a move, when we take a step to deal with uncomfortable things, we’ll be able to move forward. We’ll be able to grow. Not only that, we’ll gain little more courage to deal with the next uncomfortable things.

So let’s see how can we deal with uncomfortable blogging things.

Practical Ways to Deal With Uncomfortable Blogging Things

Talking about dealing with uncomfortable blogging things is one thing. But actually doing is another. So, let’s discuss a few practical ways on how to deal with uncomfortable blogging things.

Train Your Mind for Being Uncomfortable

Writing a blog post is an uncomfortable thing. Formatting a blog post is an uncomfortable thing. Marketing a blog to get traffic is an uncomfortable thing.

It’s uncomfortable to switch platform. It’s uncomfortable to learn new things. Starting a blog itself is an uncomfortable thing.

There is growing pain in every turn of the way of blogging.

When I decided to build a blogging business, I trained my mind that I’ll face fear. I trained my mind that how uncomfortable the things are, I’ll deal with them.

Once you shift your mind to deal with uncomfortable, you’ll gain courage. You’ll gain energy.

So, train your mind for being uncomfortable.

Face Fear Frequently

One of the main roadblocks to deal with uncomfortable is fear.

Fear of failure. Fear of looking stupid. Fear of making mistake. Fear of criticism. All of these fears hold us back from doing what we want to do. Because of these fears, we are often scared to deal with uncomfortable.

The only way to conquer these fears to face them frequently.

If you don’t want to fail, learn to be a failure. I see this matter this way. If I fail, no matter, I’ll try again. Isn’t it worse to be a failure before even try?

If you look stupid, no one will punish you. If you don’t make mistakes, you won’t be able to learn. If no one criticizes, you won’t be able to be perfect.

So, in one way, all of these fears is good to reform you – to make you perfect. Those fears are good. If you can use them, they’ll work for you. I think that this way.

Those fears are bad when you scared to face them. So frequently face these fears. It’ll make you able to deal with uncomfortable things.

Think Big

In my first blog, which is on “building construction”, I wanted to create a one-stop resource for civil engineers, construction professionals, and homeowners. That works as a driving force for building that blog.

So, whenever you want to get out of your comfort zone you need to think big. You need to have a dream. The dream which helps you to deal with uncomfortable things.

If you want to create a successful blogging business, you have to have an inspiring purpose for creating the blog.

Whenever you’re stuck, this inspiration will help you to tackle the situation.

Set Your Blogging Goal

What things do you want to achieve with your blog?

Write down your blogging goal. Review your blogging goal at the end of each month. Measure how much you have been advanced.

When I review my blogging goal for each month, I sometimes feel that I’ve achieved nothing so far. I’ve been nowhere.

Don’t be disappointed. It happens.

Every step toward your goal is important. I review my blogging goal for each month not for knowing how much I achieved. I do this for defining my future steps toward my goals. It gives me more courage and inspiration to deal with uncomfortable blogging things.

Be Willing to Learn

The more you learn about a thing, the more you be comfortable to tackle the thing. Always be willing to learn. It’ll give you courage and confidence to deal with uncomfortable things.

Blogging isn’t a Sprint, It’s a Marathon

When we look into successful blogs, we see that the blogs are nicely designed. They have a good looking signup form. They have a well-designed logo at the top of the blog. They have everything well organized.

After seeing this we want to make our blog like them. We try to get all the good looking things at once. We wish to have a well-designed logo on our blog. We wish to have a good looking signup form. We wish to have everything organized.

Once we want to have all the things like a successful blog and try to do all the things at a time, we feel overwhelmed which makes us uncomfortable.

But, if you study those successful bloggers, you’ll come to know that they didn’t build the blog in a day. They just did one small thing after another. They just did a small thing at a time.

So, take your blog as a marathon, not as a sprint. And do a small task every day. These small tasks will take you toward your goal. Taking your blog as a marathon will make you more comfortable and will give you the confidence to deal with uncomfortable blogging things.

Conclusion

There are a lot in building a successful blogging business that makes us feel uncomfortable. The best strategy to deal with those uncomfortable blogging things is to stay and grow with them.

Up my blogging alley Liton! Folks wonder why I blog from paradise. I face fears daily and sometimes hourly. Sure I have fun too but all growth happens from leaving comfort zones to face fears again and again. Tweeted for you.
