You need to write posts, you need to share your post on social media, you need to design your blog, you need to monetize your blog, etc, etc, etc.
For doing all the things, you need to stay in front of your computer all day long. But, we have many other tasks to do outside of the blogging world. Such as, maintaining family life, participating in social functions, etc. And if you have a day job then the things will get much worst.
So, whatever the reason, we can’t always stay in front of our computer. But that should not be a reason for not being a blogger.
Nowadays, almost everyone has a smartphone in hand. You can use your smartphone effectively to stay alive in blogging.
In this post, I’ll share some tips to blog effectively using your smartphone.
How to blog effectively using your smartphone?
I don’t have always access to a computer. Because I have a day job and it is on building construction. I don’t think, this reason can take me away from blogging. So, I use my smartphone smartly to keep my blogging running. I’ll share my tips on how I use my smartphone for blogging.

So, let’s discuss the tips about using a smartphone for blogging.
1. Write Blog Posts Using Your SmartPhone
If you look at your mobile’s Facebook messenger, you will be amazed that how many words you typed when chatting with your friends.
I use this idea for writing my blog post. I use android phone currently. There is an app in Google play store named “ColorNote“. I use this app for writing blog posts. It has an autosave function which will automatically save your draft as you write.
At the beginning, you may find it difficult to type words in your phone. But, after practicing for some time, you’ll find it easy.
Also, don’t forget to set you keyboard properly. So that, if you type wrong word, it will be corrected automatically.
2. Use Google Doc On Your Smartphone
If you want to access your post draft from a computer, you can use the Google doc app in your phone.
Just copy your post draft from the colornote app and paste into the Google doc.
Google doc also has an auto save functionality. It automatically save as you paste or edit your draft. when you are in front of your computer, you can access Google doc from there. That means, if you save a document in Google doc, you can access that document both from your mobile and computer.
3. Edit Your Blog Post Image on Smartphone
Smart people not only work hard, they also work smartly.
Isn’t it smart work to edit a post image on the smartphone?
I believe, blogging should not be hard and you don’t have to sell you soul to be a successful blogger. You just need to find a way to make the things easy. And I’m constantly trying to make my blogging journey easy.
You should do.
You don’t need to be in front of your computer to edit your post image. In fact, most of the time I use my smartphone to edit post image.
For this purpose, I use an android app “picsart“. It is a powerful app to edit images. And, the outcome is very good.

4. Use Your Smartphone to Read Blogs
As a blogger, you have to be up-to-date. The easy way to get up to date in your blogging niche is to read other’s blog.
I use “feedly” in my smart phone to subscribe and read other’s blogs.
5. Comment On Other Blogs Using Your Smartphone
Commenting on blogs is a great way to get traffic and also for making connections with fellow bloggers.
You can use your mobile phone to comment on other’s blogs.
When I read a post on the Feedly app on my mobile and if I enjoy the post, I make a comment on that post.
So, you don’t have to be in front of your computer to make comments on a blog. You can use you smartphone effectively for blog commenting.
6. Share Your Blog Post On Social Media Using Your Smartphone
One of the best way to get blog traffic is to share blog posts on social media like Facebook, Twitter, pinterest, Google plus and LinkedIn.
Most of your social sharing tasks, you can do using your smart phone.
I use buffer android app for scheduling my blog posts on social media. Buffer is a nice app for social sharing. You can use Buffer for free. It also has paid options. But, the free option is enough for new bloggers.
7. Use Your Smartphone to Check Your Email
Checking email is a time-consuming task. But, as a blogger, you need to check your email everyday.
You can use your smart phone effectively to check your email and send mail if needed.
I found it very useful to check email on mobile. In fact, when I’m on the way to my office, I check my email and do the email related tasks using my smart phone.
I found it very productive. You can try this too.
8. Use Your Smartphone to Do Administrative Tasks
You can use your mobile phone to do most of the blogging administrative tasks. Such as, approving comments which readers make on your blog post, replying to their comment, updating WordPress plugins, tweaking the WordPress setting, etc.
9. Don’t Play Games On Your Smartphone
Yes. It is very time-consuming to play games on mobile.
I found myself very addicted to playing games on my mobile once.
So, uninstall all the gaming app from your mobile. Instead, install the following blogging app on your mobile –
10. Publish Blog Posts Using Your Mobile
If I tell you, you can stay away from your computer for weeks without hampering your blogging activity, I wouldn’t lie.
Yes, you can publish, schedule even edit your blog post on your mobile.
You’ll need the following 4 apps for doing so –
In my case, I use ColorNote for writing my blog post, Picsart for editing post image. And, I use chrome mobile browser and WordPress mobile app for proofreading, formatting and scheduling blog post.
Nothing should stop you from blogging. You just need to find a way to keep blogging. It’s upon you, how you use your time and technology to make your blogging tasks easy.
